Join the third edition of ArtTech Forum Lithuania 2025 and discover the rapidly growing industry of merging art with cutting-edge technologies. As the heart of creativity, art is a powerful force that fosters innovation by merging new forms of the digital age tackling contemporary problems – from audience engagement to contemporary business solutions and social innovations. The forum will explore success stories linking artistic research with immersive technologies, artificial intelligence, and interactive formats that change the ways of storytelling, problem-solving and engaging audiences in both the cultural and creative business sectors.

ArtTech Forum will host presentations by internationally acknowledged leaders in backgrounds of creative innovation and technology development. The program will explore how new technologies are transforming the world of theatre, museums and value-driven art creation. Participants will hear inspiring insights from XR storytellers, interactive art producers, creative strategists who are the actors shaping the future of ArtTech in Europe and around the world.
The forum will include discussions, presentations, hands-on creative workshops and special network events that bring together creators, innovative creative businesses, and cultural institutions. Join us on a journey seeking answers to the questions: in what ways can technological innovation extend the limits of high-quality artistic expression? What is the role of research quality in this process and how can we ensure the preservation of values? How can technology help us create new experiences and engage audiences? Finally, what does ArtEntainment mean and how to step into new ways of thinking?

Beyond virtual museums and digital twins: Exploring new approaches for creating immersive experiences in the cultural heritage sector
Date: 20 November, Thursday
Time: 12:30
Location: Energy and Technology Museum, Vilnius
Price: FREE
Capacity: 30
Priority: First to register

How can the cultural heritage sector truly benefit from the affordances of immersive technologies? In immersive environments, we are no longer constrained by the physical limitations of exhibition rooms that determine what can be shown and what remains in the archive. We can forgo the rules of gravity or measures that regulate what can and cannot be touched. In this sense, XR presents an exciting opportunity to go beyond the current “virtual museum” or digital twin formats to rethink curatorial practices and the way that audiences can engage with heritage collections. This workshop invites participants to think about new approaches for creating immersive experiences in the cultural heritage sector which utilise more diverse technological possibilities and overcome existing adoption barriers. During the hands-on session, participants will explore and design alternative immersive storytelling formats.

The workshop will be conducted in English. Participation is free, but registration is mandatory as spaces are limited.
